Paradigm
Here's the history:
Jack and Nate started Paradigm in early 2001. Their simple goal was to make good music that they liked playing, and to not let themselves be limited in their creativity (which, wouldn't you know it, is probably the same reason 99% of all bands start making music). It continued on, Raul Cotaquispe was soon added on guitar, followed by Kevin Brody on bass. This lineup lasted little over a year, and saw the recording of a 4-song EP (which deserves to never see the light of day) and an 11-song live CD.
Kevin stepped out of the band near the end of 2002, and Allan Marcial joined in shortly thereafter, solidifying the bands lineup like never before. The quartet played as such all the way through May of 2006, recording 2 demos, an EP (Mainstream Epidemic), and two full length albums, including the recently released "The Madhouse". The quartet also won battles of the bands held by many colleges (including College of Dupage 2 years in a row, Triton College, and Columbia College).
In May 2006, Raul ceased playing guitar with Paradigm for various reasons. He is still a great friend of the band. Nate, Allan, and Jack continued through the summer playing shows as a 3-piece band, but found a 4th member in Matt Murray. Matt stepped out of the band in 2007, leaving the three core members to figure out the future for themselves.
In february 2008, the new full-length album "Lights" was released, written and recorded in its entirety by Nate. It contains songs that Nate wrote throughout 2006-2007, and thus far has had an excellent response from fans of the band. In April, Steve Garlick stepped in to take up the duties as Paradigm's second guitarist, and things are finally coming together again for Paradigm. Once a full-time keyboardist is added, the Paradigm boys will start playing shows again at a fever pace. It won't be long.
